Knightlife Pictures began in Londonderry New Hampshire. I bought a darkroom while working for Ritz Camera. I set up my homemade lab and began developing black and whites.Black and white was the medium for the photo purest. The darkroom and the imagination led my interest to the areas of special effects. |
Soon other photographers began coming to me for darkroom effects for their own projects. Knightlife Pictures was born. I continued shooting for photography stock houses and commercial clients. The most popular categories for the photo houses were New England foliage, local fairs and events, motorcycles, and skiing. Knightlife Pictures created exhibits for Stone Zoo of Boston and displays for Tower Records. The darkroom business did well, but the move to Virginia ended its corner of the company. I began working as a camera operator and soon moved into technical directing. |
Opportunities in television brought me full circle back to Atlanta. During my time freelancing, I also spent some time painting portable murals. These murals were large scale and used through the world for exhibitions and seminars. Knightlife Pictures continued working on various productions during my time with Crawford Communications. |
With the demise of the darkroom came the birth of digital imagery. Digital cameras replaced film and new editing programs replaced the archaic darkroom. Knightlife Pictures keeps pace with the changing world and adapts to the new demands of the ever-changing market. Today we are ready to help you face tomorrow's demands. |
